Agreed. Most MAGA people seem to be miserable, hateful people who have empty lives, outside of their MAGA tribe's rallies and events, so that is why they flock to that community, no matter how toxic that community may seem to us outsiders. The Dems offer them nothing like that at all, as far as a community. MAGA also offers them politics as entertainment, sick as that may sound to us intelligent, educated sane people who are serious about politics and government. Many of those same people would be supporting the Dem Party today, if the Dem Party had instead embraced Bernie and become more of a true left wing populist party, but the party and it's leaders chose to be the opposite of that, neoliberal economic policies and identity politics and culture war issues that only alienated those working class people and drove them firmly into the Trump camp. I'm afraid that chance was blown for good, and that the Dems will never learn the right lesson from any of this, much less change their ways for good.

Call me cynical, but the lesson I've concluded from all of these choices made by the DNC and its pols in DC, is that they really don't care about winning fed elections, only about continuing to get their corporate campaign cash, and to be rewarded by those donors after they leave office, with cushy corporate, lobbyist, or government jobs, for them and their families, along with a fed pension. Their kids will still go to Ivy League schools either way, win or lose in elections. The gravy train keeps rolling for them either way..
