I KNOW you’ve helped inspire two people in eastern MO to run for state house seats! Thank you for giving us the power to believe in ourselves.

Great attitude about your involvement in Missouri politics! All for the right reasons too! One day, like my hope here in Georgia, the bubble will burst!

Thank you very much for sharing the video, Jess. Sometimes, I think progressives feel outnumbered and hopeless and alone, in many of these redder than red areas. People like you are desperately needed, to show folks like your neighbor that they’re not alone; that it’s okay to be progressive, or liberal, or a Democrat, or whatever label fits best. Can’t climb Mt Everest without making that first step.

Jess, you are the person we should all strive to be. You are inspiring me to quit saying “well what can we do in this miserable red state?” You’ve shown us. Thanks for your courage and that of your family. I’m calling by Country Democratic office tomorrow. Every little bit counts.

I would love to see this documentary (time edited) used some day as a television advertisement in your area to promote you as a candidate. Your authentic self will stand out in great contrast to what exists with the status quo in MO government.

I am left with questions how your efforts to effect change has some how created negative results for your family.

That seriously concerns me and makes me wonder if your rights to free speech was used against you?

I hope you have legal representation next time you run for office.

Let us all know when you are ready to run again.

We will support you.

Agree also, the abridgement. And there are 3 bits you can pull out easily for ads. Have you sent this film to the DNC?

Great documentary! As someone who was born and raised in Missouri, I am so proud of you. We need so many more like you, willing to run for those uncontested seats in every red state. Power to you, Jess.

I'm sorry you didn't win, but am glad you are still fighting! I do feel the tide is turning, albiet, slowly. It can't keep on in the direction it's been heading, and I think more people are realizing that. I live in Mexico, vote in the US and work for Democrats Abroad. This week two elderly Georgia Republicans came to register to vote an joined DA because they are fed up with the Republican Party.

Thank you for speaking out, Jess. Great PBS piece on you. I believe there are more common sense people out there than we realize. Tennessee is in the same boat you are, BUT our governor’s school voucher bill didn’t pass this session! So, maybe the tide’s a-turning? Keep up the good work, and I sure hope you will run again!

I really enjoyed watching the documentary. I think I knew most of your story, but reading about it didn't have the same impact as seeing it. I'm going to think about you the next time I try and wimp out about going on a canvas for a local or state candidate. I'll put on my big girl panties and just do it!

BTW, Did anyone attend yesterday's zoom call with Sister District on ballot Roll-off? It was eye opening and can explain why dems are struggling at the state legislative level!

PLease share and encourage everyone to vote their entire ballot!

You are a total star, Jess. I sent this, like so many of your posts, to my RINO friend in a rural area of another red state. You are an inspiration to both of us.
