Hello, friend. I’d love to introduce you to my new friend, Colonel Pam Stevenson, who is running for Mitch McConnell’s open Senate in Kentucky. She is a real firecracker and a fighter for the people of Kentucky. She’s also a quilter with some absolutely gorgeous pieces under her belt — wouldn’t it be nice to have an artist on the hill? She is such an interesting person…I hope you love her as much as I do.
~Jess
From Colonel Stevenson’s website:
Pam has dedicated her whole life to public service. She served in the Air Force as a JAG attorney for 27 years. She holds the rank of Colonel and has served the USA around the world. From negotiating hostage crises, prosecuting child sex criminals, violent crimes, and more, Colonel Stevenson served this country dutifully.
Currently, Colonel Stevenson serves as House Minority Floor Leader. Colonel Stevenson regularly is the only member to break through to Republican leadership (who hold a supermajority) to make the bad bills better. Colonel Stevenson works for veterans, families, children, LGBTQ+, women’s rights, and many other groups in the legislature. Colonel Stevenson is currently in her third term in the KY House.
Colonel Stevenson is a wife of 40+ years, a mom to two children, and a minister in her family church. Colonel Stevenson is also an award-winning quilter.
