Yessss! I voted for her when she was sadly defeated. Happy she is now taking on Graham!

that campaign video was probably the best i've seen. THANK YOU!!!!!

Yes!! I love Dr. Annie Andrews and her announcement video was kick ass. I wish every state had a remarkable Democratic candidate like this! She will be getting our support and $$$!

It would be far wiser to spend your money on local and downballot races.

They're starving for dollars, while Democrats predictably send money to impossible races: Beto, McGrath, Hegar, Allred

Understood. But this is the kind of year where we might be able to do both and so I plan to support good candidates everywhere. Besides I loathe Graham almost as much as Ted Cruz and Mitch McConnell so I would give my last few dollars to send him packing.

What is Allred running for?

hw's avatar

He ran for the Texas Senate seat..tons of national attention, tons of Democratic donations...lost by a mile.

I followed that race. Is he planning on running for something else? I'm waiting for James Talarico to break out onto the national stage. I wish Texas would elect him as governor. Isn't Abbott termed out in 2026? Please tell me Texas has state office term limits! It makes me nervous for him to run for anything he isn't guaranteed to win though. He is a treasure & I feel like we need to be careful with him. We lose these people into the abyss when they lose these bigger elections. That's why I think Pete Buttigieg needs to run for governor of Michigan & Andy Beshear needs to run for the open Senate seat in Kentucky. We need these people in office in our party. They can't all be the president. They need to run for offices they are certain to win & their campaigns will bring in huge amounts of grass root donations.

Abbott is running for reelection for a 4th term...I'm quite sure he will be reelected.

Texas doesn't have term limits for state offices? Is that just the governor or is it for state legislature offices as well. I know they don't have term limits for the US House & Senate representatives because no one does. That would take a constitutional amendment. I kind of just assumed that most, if not all, states had state office term limits by now. Makes me wonder who else doesn't have term limits for their governors &/or state legislatures. Maybe I'm way off in thinking most states had enacted this. No wonder it seems like he's been in office FOREVER! Yuck!

I love her! Lady Lindsey, you’ve met your match. South Carolina, be smart enough for her.

Rich D's avatar

I hope she can win. Obviously, that means that she and the people of South Carolina, and with the support of the Democratic Party, need to organize and run effective campaign.

GO Annie!!! Please unseat the horrible Graham. Backing you from WI!!

Jess, I do want to support Dr Andrew’s but in a way that she would receive 100% of my donation and not split it with the DNC though Act Blue. Any suggestions?

Jess Piper's avatar

Act Blue doesn’t give any money to the DNC unless the candidate wants to share a donation. Act Blue does take some off top for processing. I never split my donations with the DNC and it doesn’t look like Dr Andrews does either.

Thank you Jess. Once again I want to thank you for all you do!

She is a great candidate! And she’s proof that we need to run everywhere

Bravo, Ladies! Two amazing role models for strength, intelligence, and integrity. Good luck, doc.

She appears strong! Thanks for introducing her to us.

If I still lived in South Carolina, I would vote for her.

Tom Brady's avatar

She would have beaten Nancy Mace but her district was gerrymandered to ensure a republican win. Dr Andrews had my vote then and she will have it again this time. Republicans hate Lindsey Graham but most just hit the "R" button. So she has an up hill battle. If anyone can do it, she can!

What a common sense non radical ad and candidate for senator. I am sure there are many more here in america that could do what she is doing and possibly win focus. I hope she wins. It would really boost moral in our country to have these types of young candidates.

Just donated! Thanks for posting this interview and the pathway to help her vital campaign

She is a great candidate, and I think she has a great chance. Lindsey has a significant warchest for his campaign, but his approval numbers in South Carolina are down. I hope Dr. Andrews can whip him in the race. We will all be watching and supporting her.
